At this month’s free public star party, compliments of Kanab’s Stellar Vista Observatory, grandparents are invited to bring their grandchildren to Kanab City Library for a laser guided tour of the late summer constellations and a look at the stars, star clusters and even a few nebulae deep in our Milky Way galaxy! For this special family occasion, SVO will join Kanab City Library on Saturday, September 9, for a community voyage into outer space!

We’ll welcome the return to the evening sky of our solar system’s exquisitely lovely planet Saturn, whose rings can be seen clearly in our powerful telescopes. Deep sky viewing begins at 8:30 pm. Watch for more information about the program at Kanab Library which begins at 7:30 pm. We hope to see you at this most unusual and enjoyable way to celebrate Grandparents Day, 2023!
