- Celebrating International Dark Sky Week 2021!
- Free Telescope and Binocular Use Training Events in Kanab, Utah
- Sessions begin on location one-half hour after sunset
- Wednesday, April 7 at the KCWCD Boat Ramp two miles south of Kanab
- Friday, April 9, at the BLM ‘Zion View Star Field’ off US 89, 10 miles north of Kanab
- SVO will provide training on its Binocular and Telescope Kits to the first six families or individuals to sign up below for each event (total of 12 for the two events) Youth 12 years and up may receive hands-on training when accompanied by parent
- The best targets for celestial observation for the week of April 5 will be provided
- Night sky friendly outdoor lighting demonstration
- Participate with your own binoculars or telescope if you have them
- Appropriate Covid 19 precautions will be taken and required of all participants
